That's right Spud. I thought further about the ways in which eletrical storms contribute to nature, when my attentions turned to plant life. Lightening does have the potential to create life in terms of bushfires. The fire sparks life, and gives the opportunity for dormant plant species to re-emerge.
Our planet is just a marvel in terms of the natural world. As fire brings dormant species back to life, rains and floods fill barren dry lakes and brings about life in such an abundant way. Small dormant water going aquatice life re-emerge, which brings migratory birds back to breed as their food supply from the dry barran lakes are full.
A great thing about this too, is the opportunity for these birds to mutliply in numbers, resutling in the exsistance of this species and not the extinction.
