Re: hypothyroidism
I think I have hypothyroidism. My body temp averages around 96.1 when not active, and not just in the morning.I don't tolerate cold like I used to but then I have also lost a great deal of weight in the past 4 years or so.In the past 2 yrs my hair loss which has been gradual as I age(I'm 61)has accelerated at a much faster pace. But other than hair loss, low body temp, and getting cold easily I don't have any ill effects,so it really does not seem to bother me.
Some symptoms people do not always associate with hypothyroidism such as dry hair and skin, constipation, mental fogginess, etc.
For the past several months I have been taking the following supplements but they have not had any effect that I can tell.My body temp has stayed the same and I still get cold.Do you think your formula can help?
It will cover aspects you are not already covering such as cAMP production.
Many of the herbs I take are the same as your formula but there are a few differences. Is there anything I'm leaving out that will change things? Here is a partial list of my supplementation.
schizandra
bee pollen
kelp
magnesium malate
TMG
zinx
yucca
ashwagandha
nettle
kefir
probiotics
alma berries
Coleus forskohlii and zizyphus seed to elevate the cAMP. You have the adrenals and iodine covered well already. And the tyrosine as a thyroid hormone building block.
I did not have this problem before I changed my diet added greens, flax seed, brocolli, and tons of vegetables to my diet...along with giving up meat. The diet was very successful in greatly lowering my weight, blood pressure, and blood glucose but it did create problems(like low thyroid) I never had before.
Much of what you started eating are goitrogens.
Whats my next step?
Again it looks like you got most of your bases pretty well covered except elevating cAMP.
