dry skin patches

hi everyone,

i was hoping one of you could me please... i dont have time to visit a doctor.
about a week ago i noticed a dry patch of skin (size of a 50p peice) on my left hand side just under my bra strap. i dint think much of it at first and just thought that it was due to my bra rubbing.
since then i have had another 10 or more patches appear- on my arm, stomach and lower back. these patches are small and look like bites, there are not itchy, but they are red and if i scratch you can see the dry skin. i have had ring worm before but only in the form of one patch so im not to sure if this is the same.
im worried that it could be contageous, please if you have any information it would be very appreciated.
