Lichen sclerosis, I would like to share my story.

Hi, I am 30 year old woman. I was diagnosed with lichen sclerosis about 8 months ago. My symptoms began in my mid- twenties.As many of you know suffering with the terrible disease, there is not much help out there for us. I was determined to figure out how to treat my symptoms without using steroids or creams that in the long run would make everything worse. I searched the Internet pretty much day and night. I tried everything from tea tree oil to wheatgrass, aloe gels...
Nothing seemed to be working. After weeks and weeks of feeling depressed,ashamed,worthless and less of a woman...Finally I found help!!!
Emu oil, has changed my life dramatically. It is a natural anti-inflammatory and also helps to regenarate skin cells. I swear by this stuff, I use a few drops on my vulva,perinium,and anus twice a day.
The first day I used it I knew I had found a miracle product for me. You can find it in most health food stores. Or also online.
It is also important to watch your Sugar intake which I noticed really makes a difference in the cracking and itching of the skin.
Plenty of fiber in you diet to avoid anal fissures is also key.
I just felt the need to write about my experiance with this chronic disease that most doctor's know nothing about.
Hopefully more people will be more open to talk about LS and there will be a cure. If anyone has questions I am open to discuss my knowledge of LS.
