No, it's NOT time to fold the tent. Have you considered moving back to Michigan and getting a good lawyer? You say you moved to Washington State because that's where the only person you could move in with lives. Has it occured to you that you could live in Michigan and still get the help you need? Once you move back, contact the local social services and they can arrange for you to have someone come in and help you with day to day tasks, once they evaluate your situation. I would think that when you return to Michigan, your ex won't be able to use your being out of state to keep you from getting what you're entitled to. Also, IMO, staying in Michigan would be much easier when it comes to dealing with the legal issues involved.
In the meantime, document everything he has done to make your life more difficult. Be sure to keep good records. Then find the best lawyer you can!
