post surgery pain

i had a plantar wart surgically removed on my foot sole and another on my finger. the one on the foot was pretty big (about 25mm)

its been 17 days now since the surgery and both seem to be healing very very slowly. my foot is extremely painful to walk on and im just wonering is this normal, since its been some time since the surgery?

there is a bit of yellow/green puss coming from both the foot and finger. i visited the doctor a few days ago and he said to keep them covered (even though i was told after the surgery to only keep them covered for 4-6 days) and gave me anti-biotics. but it hasnt improved since

should i maybe consider getting crutches to keep the foot elevated? every time i walk i just feel its making it worse! and its also started bleeding on the foot now...
