Couple of questions/thoughts...Re: Water Question

What kind of R/O system did you install? One with a holding tank? Or an "on demand" system (no tank?).

The tanks can become contaminated with bacteria and/or mold-fungus, so if you have a tank-system, I'd definitely (at the very least) remove the tank and sanitize it thoroughly.

After installation, were you instructed to run the system for several hours to 'clean the membranes' before actually drinking the water?

If you weren't instructed to do this, there's a possibility of low-level toxic chemicals in the membranes (or tubes that hold the membranes). I'd definitely run the system for several hours (4 or 5) and see if there's a difference.

Also, does your system have a "pre" carbon filter cartridge (and/or a post carbon filter cartridge)? If not, and that's an option for your system, I'd definitely add those if you don't have them already.

After we replace the membranes in ours (every 1 1/2 years or so), I swear the water tastes like 'chemical city' for a week or so (even though we run it for 7-8 hours after installing them). I've always wanted to take them down to the little car wash (with the hand-held sprayers) and totally 'blast' water through them to clean them before installing them. Maybe it's just me (I've always been able to 'taste' chemicals when others couldn't, even before I started into cleansing and natural health...and now it's intensified). I can easily tell organic from non-organic produce - sometimes even by smell.

If you've done all those things? I'd definitely draw a pitcher of the R/O water and throw in a few teaspoons of an 'alive & organic' grain/seed and let it set at least a few hours before you drink it. If the water is 'toxin free' and you're just reacting to the difference in 'energy' or 'empty-ness' (and pH change), that should do the trick.

Do be sure and share what you find and your experiences (if you have the time) - we're all on a learning curve here, and I know I certainly do not have all the answers!

Healthiest of blessings,
Unyquity
