I found out from research that non all low thyroid patients can be diagnosed with tests, the tests just aren't that sophisticated yet. So if you are feeling sick, look for a doctor who is more open to working with you and not just telling you your bloodwork is normal and leaving it at that -- like my doctor did. Also there are other conditions which can look like low thyroid, so if you aren't feeling well, I think it's irresponsible of a doctor to just run a couple thyroid tests to rule that out and not investigate further. But frequently, as patients we have to be our own advocates.
