I don't believe iodine depletes other minerals, per se. But, what can happen is, you start taking iodine. Your cells take it up and are happy. They're now able to perform at a higher level. But then they say, To continue operating at this high level, I must have -- selenium, magnesium, B vitamins, vitamin C, antioxidants. So whereas you thought you were doing okay before iodine, now with iodine you need other supplements. But that's not a step backward, it's a step towards greater health than you knew you could have.
