Facinating stuff DQ, this research is in the early stages, but could lead to some very exciting breakthoughs. There has been a trend in Australia towards industry based research, which has led to much pure research, (such as the research in the article), being underfunded. All the true advances in Science have come from pure research, like that done by Nikola Tesla.

Certainly one to watch :)
