I can't comment on the rash. I haven't seen anyone discuss rashes and chelation before though, so I doubt it. If you check out page 52 of Amalgam Illness the graph will explain why you felt good for 6 months and then got sick again. Basically your blood levels were dropping for 6 months then your organs started dumping mercury and you got sick again. Once that starts you should start ALA and DMSA/DMPS if you would like to as well.
