Coal is certainly a dirty business on many levels.

The problem IMO isn't that fossil fuels are going to run out eventually, they are finite resources, so of course this is going to happen, the problem is the pollution and destruction of the environment that the use of fossil fuels causes.

This is what needs to be addressed, and I absolutely agree with you Snooz, alternative sources are available, and should be used.

It is a huge battle, and the enemies of renewable, clean energy, are the huge multinational mining and oil companies that put out propaganda, (such as "clean coal") to try and keep their current levels of profit.
