 My dad takes 4 a day for his foot pain and hes fine. I tell him it's stupid and hes going to get ulcers but he wont listen. Hes been doing it for months. Someone developing kidney failure from one dose had other issues IMO.

Bleeding ulcers are the leading cause of death from NSAIDs.  But the organ damage is a high risk factor since the people most likely to use these drugs on a regular basis, the elderly, are at the greatest risk.
