Re: warning: fasting is dangerous!
Hello Golthing,
all animals of course have fat reserves in time of food-scarcity or illness.
Famines were not that uncommon in yesteryear and of course food takes third place in order of bodily-need: air, water, and then food or nourishment.
The three square meals recommended in recent times are a burden to the system and the cause of so much malady and illness today.
These three meals are only a recent phenomenon, whilst in times past, even soldiers existed on only one meal per day. Food was of a higher quality in those days and for various reasons, but as long as the diet is low-calorie and nutrient-dense, then we have no fear of malnourishment even today.
I would describe myself as "Nutritarian".
Three square meals per day overloads the body with excess nourishment and unneeded calories, which only serve to produce more fat and the onset of obesity and all the ailments entailed with this state.
The dangers of fasting (if any) pale into insignificance in comparison with the dangers of, and universal acceptance of pharmaceuticals, which ultimately destroy health and are only palliative at best.
Even Dr Johanna Budwig stated that the American Medical profession, who were interested in her successful results against cancer with flax and quark, became uninterested when confronted with the fact that no money was to be gained from its application.
Money, or the love of money, is the root of all evil, and where this is especially true within Mainstream healthcare.
