Hi, sorry to say, I didn't read Andreas's rules for taking it either! I did about 4 ounces of tea per day, sometimes more. I split it up alittle throughout the day. I definitely felt it draining the kidneys of stuff, since it made my lower back itch. After a few weeks of taking the tea, I got a clear *stop* message from my body, I knew I had to take a break. I think everyone is different, the limit of each body is different, so I think its hard to follow uniform directions here.
The one thing I found is that I didn't even have to heat the herbs - I just put the herbs in room temp. water for anywhere from 30 minutes to a day, and then strained out the herbs. They worked really well even without heating.
