Well, because I'm busy writing a paper on Cognitive Dissonance- recognizing it for what it is. There's a heck of a lot of it taking place right now on this forum.

Even if someone "explained" the doctrine to you Tizona, are you honestly open to believing it works? It's no one's job to convince you of anything.

I just told John this...it's not my job, nor would I attempt to try to convince him that what my religious beliefs are, should be his also--nor vice versa.

There are definite reasons that the doctrine will not work for all. Disbelief is one of the main ones. Why would anyone give it a fair chance, if they thought it was sheer nonsense to begin with?

Those people should have their own place to post- like you said, where they feel comfortable doing so. That's not going to take place here--which you also said. So, what would be so bad about the people that don't want to post here, having a different forum to post on- where they would feel more comfortable?
