Re: missing fish
We have considered that as a possibility, but in this area it won't work. I would only do it as a last resort. our house would get trashed, it's very hard to find a tenent, and we would be having to take care of it from out of state, because I dont intend to live anywhere near the gulf.
Florida renters are not like renters elsewhere, houses are inexpensive here, and if you don't own one, there is a reason.
I think we have a good chance of selling this winter, I wish I could do it sooner, but I've sold houses before, and it does happen, it just takes some time.
We may be getting an offer on our shop, it's a going concern in an area with little work, so we then could concentrate on getting the house ready to sell. Because there is so much unemployment, we have found good people to help us with what needs to be done, so that much is going in the right direction.
Even getting out of the shop will be a big improvement, we are right on the Gulf, and although we aren't getting as sick as we were this summer, we still don't feel good after the three days we are open.
What is the hardest for me is that so many people are getting sick, and they have no clue why, and they can't take action.
We had a very elderly couple in for a repair last week end, they had been married for 65 years, the man had served with Patton in WW2, he'd gotten wounded in the butt by a mortar round. (OUCH!!!)
We have one customer who flew a Jug in Germany, and shot down 24 german planes. These people really deserve better. Covering this all up to serve BP's interests is sacrificing everyone health for the political interests of the current administration, and it's terribly wrong.
We also have more than our share of first responders in the twin towers disaster, they can't live in New York anymore, because they have severe PTSD, so they have moved to florida. It just doesn't seem right to me to thow them away twice.
if you want to talk about cover ups, talk to someone who worked at ground zero. Then tell me about how much our governement honestly deals with facts that make them look bad.
This is really long, I'm sorry.
I still feel like I have to add a disclaimer, this is just my personal opinion &personal experience, anyone who disagrees is free to do so.
