Re: Refeeding question

Hi Newbeginner,

Yes low sugar vegetable juices both raw and cooked would be ideal. Also lower sugar fruit juices (by their botanical definition pertaining to their seed containing nature) which include tomatos, zucchinis, cucumbers, eggplant, various types of squash, bell peppers and chili peppers among others. Most of us, myself included, think of these as vegetables as that's what they are widely referred to in culinary jargon :).

Jason is right also that steamed vegetables in carefully controlled quantities are another possibility, especially if your fast is not especially long. My personal preference for breaking with juices has a lot to do with being able satisfy my appetite without the slightest concern for over-challenging myself digestively and in blessing my digestive system in all other ways with the most gentle and gradual transition possible back to normal eating.
