Re: Why AF does not go by itself?

AF is often times a reflection of underlying issues that cannot be resolved by rest alone. For example, we see many with unconscious regression that shows up with symptoms similar to AF. Some people have symptoms of AF but not have AF at all if traced far back enough. AF are secondary to other dysfunction, in this case, the mind. This is not the same as saying people have mental illness, but to recognise that our mind does affact our body physically, and that connection is seldom addressed properly. That is why I try to educate people that my approach to AF is to find the cause and not just suppress the symptoms. To do that , one has to look at the total body, not just the physical. When you find the cause and acknowledge it, often times the symptoms will improve as sometimes symptoms is just a strategy of avoidance to prevent unpleasant hurts etc from long standing issue surfacing to the conscious level. so it can be a strategy of avoidance by the mind. That is why when the regression issues are acknowledged, the symptoms ceases as their purpose is no longer there. This whole discussion goes deeply into neurophycology which is often a part of the AF but ignore. We look at that in our total body approach. That is why I have said that advance or refractory AF is really a mind-body condition for those who have unclear picture of what is going on and unable to heal for a long time. Most people give up due to lack of professional help to sort things out is the problem. The body can heal, if only we pay attention. Needless to say, most cases are not straight forward and present in mix forms.

Compounding this is the fact that our body ages and decompensates. So problems tend to magnify themselves with less trigger if the root physical imbalances are not dealt with properly.

Without knowing much more in detail your friends situation and background, this is all I can contribute at this time.
