This forum's only been a forum for a bit over a year, and I can name quite a few people on this forum that have improved and healed their constipation issues with the very herbs others claim cause dependence. 

I have been constipated my whole life.  That ended when I started taking IF#1.  When I first started taking it I was at home all day so there were no worries about bathroom issues.  I've been taking it for almost a year now.  A couple of months ago a friend asked me to help him straighten out the accounting department in his business so I went back to work.  I was worried about taking the IF#1 with the bathroom situation away from home so I stopped taking it cold turkey.  I was kinda worried about getting constipated again but the first day I was shocked that I had BMs.  By along about the second week I was astounded that I was still having my normal bowel movements with NO IF#1!  I'm still not taking them now and still having normal BMs.

Moral of that story?  I'm NOT addicted to IF#1, witnessed by the fact that I haven't taken them for almost two months and I'm still having normal bowel movements every single day.  And, I haven't developed high BP nor have I damaged my intestinal lining by using IF#1!

I would say that I've done something fantastic with my cleansing evidenced by having bowel movements IF#1 free when before I started them I had been constipated for many years.  I've got lots more cleansing to do but I've seen a dramatic improvement.
