Re: Working and adrenal fatigue

Hi - I always worked, even when my AF was very severe. I had a job where it was okay to miss several days of work at a time, which I did frequently when my adrenals crashed. It was very, very tough for me, and doing this prolonged the time it took me to recover. I did this out of financial necessity, because I had no other way to survive financially. I found that if I could force myself to go to work I was usually okay for the rest of my shift. Like you, I found I felt more exhausted on my days off. Ironically, that's when I needed to rest more. At times I really envied people who had conditions that allowed them to qualify for disability benefits relatively easily.

I think your idea of encouraging people who have recovered from AF to talk about their experiences is very good. I think you're correct that people who recover from it usually stop posting on this forum and move on. I guess I'm an exception to that. Anyway, I can share about my recovery from AF in another post when my brain is functioning. I think your idea of creating a place for people to share their recovery stories is a very good one. I'd be very willing to share my story in just such a place.

Tom
