Also, I agree - I went through a car windshield when I was 18 (don't ask).
Pretty much a mess but I was lucky they called a plastic surgeon to sew my face back together. We're talking lacerations down to the bone and holes into my mouth, not to gross anyone out.
Side note - the day I got out of the hospital, I bought bottles of vitamin E and put the oil on my wounds 3X/day, plus swallowed a good amount.
Went back to the surgeon who remarked how well I was healing so I told him about my regimen. He grunted, 'Couldn't have been the E, you're just a good healer'. Sure, old man.
When the scars completely healed, they weren't bad, just noticeable enough to intrigue guys. :-)
Anyway, I've noticed that putting
Lugols on my face has made a definite difference in the scars.
My scars aren't 50-years-old like the example in the link but they're no spring chickens!
