Why not have a little fun with it. Instead of money, try to barter. Maybe a $50 Dominoes pizza gift card ? How about some of them airline coupons ya get in the mail ? The list is up to the imagination of possibilities. I have a nice pair of rollerblades, it would take some really good servicing for me to ever want to part with them, but it is within the realm of possiblity I suppose. Be sure to write back with any successes, but be careful, I once jokingly called a gal a two-bit hooker and much to my surprise she attempted to smack me upside the face with a sock full of quarters. I bet canned goods could be a good possibility, some really good caviar or anchovies - that stuff isn't cheap. I bet it would qualify under IRS rules as a "like kind exchange". A couple cartons of cigarettes perhaps....
