Chaz, since I no longer have the luxury of 24-7 access to an online computer, it is easy for me to fall behind on browsing here for posts that interest me. This is why just today I found your post from 9 days ago, found here -

Although I cannot exactly explain why, as I get older there are fewer and fewer things that really get my interest, but among these are historical facts. Historical facts are themselves a somewhat rare commodity for us little people of the world. Some people are quick to argue about what consitutes genuine facts. I think part of the reason for this is that it has become too easy for people to confuse facts as being one and the same with proof. Making matters worse, part of the continuing process of dumbing down the masses involves programming the masses to demand proof upon confronting situations that threaten to dispel the lies they have been taught all of their lives. In other words, it is common these days to find people clamoring for proof of conspiracies but these people don't know what actually constitutes proof to begin with so therefor they are never satisfied and thus to them their lack of proof means the issue is only a theory.

Congressional records are one of the best albeit rare sources of historical facts. I'm tempted to say they are rare sources of facts that we have but as you and I both know, us little people do not always have free access to congressional records :)


Long story short, I wanted to thank you for this post that included a snippet of Congressional record from 1933. Note how this record includes somebody whining about Republicans in the clutches of Wall Street. Imagine, somebody in 1933 ( the beginning of the lowly FDR years ) whining about Hoover era Republicans in the grasp of Wall Street.....rich, that. If the masses ever figure out that our problems historically are the result of Reps and Dems alike in the grasp of Wall Street, we might be able to do something about it. Also note there is a reference to the awful effects of the economic crash of that era, and then a short while later there was mention of law. It jumped out to me how close the two words are - awful and lawful, both in spelling and effect. Yes, the lawful economic crash of that era was awful, so much so that to this day we still fee the intended effects.
