Same sort of thing is happening to organic egg producer's here in Canada. It's the corporate way in trying to sweep the little guy under the carpet. Of course their lobbying to government pays off here because regulations are rewritten to support these diabolical undertakings.
When I studied this type of corporate/government alignment in school, the term this fell under was fascism.
