Re: Toxic Rain in Toronto, Canada

i checked all my plants today, I have one that has yellow spots, and at times the rain stings you skin when it lands.
But most of them are doing fine, I planted bamboo all around my house, and I have to whack back the stuff in front of my deck or the deck gets so much algae on it & it's slippery. It must like corexit, it's doing fine, thanks. I guess nothing kills bamboo.
From what I know about rain and hurricanes, things get picked up in waterspouts, I know my husband told me it rained fish on him one day when he had his shop in the keys.
So it it quite possible that there is stuff in the rain, and we don't know what it is. I'm a lot more worried about the people who got exposed to the gulf than I am the plants.
Our friends who had heart attacks were both bikers, the local bike club has lost a bunch of the brothers in a short period of time.
We aren't outside as much as they are, just more than most people who go from an air conditioned house to an air conditioned car.
the whole thing sucks, and I've got some sterilizd glass bottles in case anything wierd comes down and the plants start to die. Then maybe I'll know a little more.
