The role of Iodine in lead detox?

Before a month i've posted a similar thread about mercury.
If you think this is useless info just delete it. Trapper is here and I just want to hear different opinions about how Iodine helps with removing lead and other heavy metals.

Dr. Brownstain says no one detox protocol can exclude Iodine! Why Iodine in so potent not only against halogens but also lead and mercury?

I think only in this forum someone can obtain an answers like this because here are needed experience and knowledge.
