Homeopathic vs. OTC (over-the-counter) products

There seems to be some confusion regarding homeopathic and OTC vs. natural herbal products.

Both homeopathic and OTC products are controlled by the FDA and specific guidelines that determine what ingredients, claims may be used in formulation.

Homeopathic products: all though they appear to be "natural" and made of "all natural" ingredients, they frequent, have carriers or fillers that are either not herbal, or inexpensive. Next time you go into Henry's, Whole Foods, Sprouts, etc. spend some time reading product labels and you will find the "active" ingredient to be a small percentage of the total product volume.

OTC products: are usually very limited on what the "active" ingredient may be. For example Acne products usually have salicylic acid or hydrogen peroxide as their "active" ingredients as the FDA has approved these ingredients as effective for the treatment of Acne.

In a similar way, homeopathic products have designated ingredients, and their concentration, that are approved by the homeopathic pharmacopoeia and the FDA.

Medicinal Remedies.com researches, formulates and manufactures only 100% pure "essential and carrier oil" products for specific skin conditions. We do not use inexpensive or non-natural ingredients and avoid making product claims we can not substantiate.

Go to: medicinalremedies.com and read about what essential and carrier herbal plant oils can do.
