Although I'm constantly puzzled at what the exact mechanism may be that make OIL PULLING work, I'm sure not to stop the practice in spite of that lack of knowledge.  I recently read a few paragraphs in a book called "Cure Tooth Decay" by Ramiel Nagel that made me feel like ... "Ah, now I understand."  I just posted that info and will provide the link to it.  You might find it makes sense to you.  The author also opposed the idea of the germ theory although he admitted that bacteria is shown to be highly present where there is tooth decay.  But he stated that their presents was because they feed on the decay and not that they caused the decay.  So yes he agrees that they are the clean up crew.
