The size of some flukes
It seems some people here thinks liver flukes always are quite big and easy to spot (for example in stool) after
Liver Flush etc, but fact is several types of liver flukes are very very small
Some flukes by size:
1. Fasciolopsis (F. buski) 20 to 75 mm lenght
2. Fasciola (hepatica) 20 to 30 mm lenght
3. Paragonimus westermai (lung fluke) 7 to 16 mm lenght
4. Clonorchis sinensis 10 to 20 mm (and width quite narrow, only 3 to 5mm wide)
5. Opisthorchis viverrini 5 to 10 mm lenght (and width much narrower, can be hard to spot with eye)
6. Metorchis conjunctus 1.5 mm to 7 mm lenght
7. Metagonimus yokogawia 1.0 to 2.5 mm lenght
8. Nanophyetus: 0.8 mm to 2.5 mm
This I think is for adults, so several of them can be very hard to see without magnification...and most of them will hide in your liver, lung etc.. and not easily come out.
