What Would You Advise?

I want to share with you a recent email exchange ... here goes:

Can you give advice on this real problem.
I have been having some health problems the last few months. The Dr couldn't figure out what was wrong. I went to a FNP yestarday and after running some test came back possible prostate . This is embarrassing to say but my problem is been my testicles swelling up , sore, red as a beet ect. FNP said in some men as we get older when we p it does not all drain back to the bladder. Wants me to go to a urologist but with no insurance I can't afford it. I don't want cancer or something but I am in a pickle on what to do.
Just left me up I have worried about this for the last couple of days
I can't talk to my family they will freak out. If you dont have any suggestions that is ok

Just got your message, and you are not going to like what I say ... you really need to have this checked. I mean, we are talking about your man-stuff here!

How are you feeling now? Is it still red/sore/swollen? One? Or Both? Is it possible you injured yourself? Has this been gradual? Or has it been sudden?

I am feeling better, after taking the meds for a few days I am not as sore and the swelling has gone down. This has been going on for at least 6-8 months. Over this period I have had these 3 times last about 2-3 weeks and then go away for a few months then reappear. I am a little concern over this.

I would be concerned, too, and I am concerned.

Did they do any testing at all? What prescription drugs are you taking? Are you on any blood thinners? I know money is tight, but could you afford about $75 a month for medicine to restore your immune system, and for cancer prevention/treatment?

I am on some antibiotics 1000 mg per day for 30 days. Then they are going to recheck my PSA the FNP said on a scale of 1-3 I am about 2.7 not good. I will have to try any thing that I can to get well. I will squeeze the $ somewhere.
