Side Effects Of Enemas

Last fall I started taking charge of my health. I started eating organically, went glutin and dairy free ect...
I also started doing enemas to clear out my system. I would do (not in this order but randomly) coffee, saline, soap enemas maybe 3 times a week and then dropped down to once a week then once a month. I haven't had an emema in 2 months.
I have been having pain in my lower left abdomen. At first I thought it had to do with my ovary but an ultra sound ruled that out. My doc did an urine text and ruled out any kidney trouble so he sent me to a gastro doctor. He said it sounded like diverticulitis and had me do a cat scan. I will find out the results next week. I wonder if doing the enemas contributed to this pain whatever it is.
I made sure my equipment was clean clean clean!!
When I did the soapy castile enemas I did my best to hold the 2 quarts for a good cleaning. For the coffee enemas I held them for 10 minutes.
Could I have damaged my insides?
