On some level people do support these corporations, whether they hold shares in these companies, use the products of these companies, or support politicians and policies that allow these companies to ride roughshot over people, or indeed, to produce a climate where the executives of these companies feel free to do as they please, regardless of the possible risk. So it could be said that people are doing this to themselves, although I don't think most realise this, or deliberately choose this.

This is why it is important to know who owns these corporations.
