Re: Vitamin C and cortisol
1. My normal reply is rather dry and short, but today happen to be more free so I am able to contribute more.
2. I notice in my earlier response of a important error. Lab is not an accurate indicator, and I convey the opposite by typo omission mistake.
3. Now comes to your follow up question: Sub-optimal liver function is a common finding in AF, and many have perfectly normal labs. Interestingly, many get that way not because only of constitutionally weak liver ( often times but not always, there is a family history of liver problem, but this is hard because so many people have liver problem and not know) but many in their best intention over the years have embarked on various cleanse that may compound the problem and not knowing it by detoxing. Detox can increase energy and make one feel better if in good health, and detox is a noble endeavor. If the body is not quite ready, it can have a stealth like silent slow backfire effect that few pick up if not astute and looking for it because the liver is a big organ with lots of reserve ( you can survive very well with a large part removed surgical, for example), so you dont feel it until the very end, so to say.
If that is the case, the key is to allow time to work its way out, and that can mean months and let the body come to you. The focus is not about stimulating the detox pathways ( as most people do ) which may increase liver work load and can become counterproductive. The better sustained approach then is to allowing the cells to heal itself. That takes time. At the meantime, we continue the rebuilding processes and stay focused on a ortho-molecular level. We do not loose our focus. The body in most cases will reward you eventually by resetting itself positively, and when that happens, the improvement can be quite dramatic. Those in this situation will find my approach very slow on purpose. They may get discouraged. From time to time, I will challenge it and see if any progress has been made. Its like restoring an old building. A lot of work but not a lot to show until the very end when things come together.
Cases like this requires patience. Many do have it, but some don't have the patience, or they crash along with way as they do more as soon as they get better, and have setbacks. This happen frequently for those who are self navigating, as they don't have the resource to go to when crash to minimize it, and eventually they get confused and give up. That is the sad part because they will then jump to another approach with great promise and start the same cycle again.
The key is to figure the body out as we go and learn from the body's signals, as the body is always right. That is the gold standard. The problem is most of the time we don't know how to interpret the signals or interpret wrongly if inexperienced. Even with experience, some trial and error is normal due to poorly understood pathways. Most of the time, the body leaves us clues if we look hard enough. Those who do very well in terms of recovery, especially if they are older and really weak and not strong and young, invariably are patient and good students that follow instructions to the teeth.
The worse one can do is to try to figure out every detail and second guess the body response or get disappointed when the body does not respond the way we like in these times. This negativeness will only make worsen and weaken the weak adrenal. Leave the why and how to the pros and concentrate to follow instructions is the smartest for most who are not scientifically minded rather than precious energy to figure it out and still not get the answer because no amount of science can factor in each person's unique environment and unpredictable response so commonly occur in advance adrenal fatigue.
The best use of resources in this time is to get the mind of the adrenal fatigue totally and focus on something else. Have a life, as some say. Give the mind and the body a rest. The more time and energy is wasted on figuring why things are not working and get all wound up, the slower will be the recovery . Eventually, they give up,blaming nutrients or something else. That is why sometimes I do not connect with those in this situation for a few months because I don't think their body is ready as yet.
3. With regards to using the info here as FAQ for curezone, , I think that is a good service in concept. Due to the nature of AF and the already very weak state of most curzone reader which are quite unique and different from the general public with mild condition, my thoughts is that any FAQ can only be very general by nature as even the best of information is not universal due to unpredictable and paradoxical response that we see so frequently in the people visiting this forum, and you may need to qualify that so people can be aware and not take anything at absolute basis and draw blanket conclusions which can lead to dire consequences.
In addition, the problem I am concerned is that I am very often misquoted not out of intention but because people do not understand what I am talking about when my answer is short and tend to jump to conclusion of what they think I am saying. This is not their fault as the issues we are dealing with here is quite complicated to most. Even trained professionals takes time to digest. When the interpretation is off base, negative consequences can ensue because people may be mislead and given the already weak condition of most curezone AF sufferers, this may need to more confusion. Misinformation can be rampart. For this reason, my articles are quite long because it sets the stage with a proper framework before I discuss the remedies. Unfortunately, the society has condition most of us to be quick to search for remedy and slow to understand the foundation behind the remedies.
You may want to link to your FAQ to my articles ( and other practitioners you feel constructive) as you see fit to give the reader a chance to read different views for themselves as a further step as needed. They may also visit my FAQ section in addition.
Today's discussion is really about my philosophical approach to Adrenal Fatigue. You can reprint these two emails in its entirety for educational purposes with proper citing.
Your distillation is a separate noble matter, but do make sure the reader can separate the difference between the two as I hate to see your kind effort being represented differently from my intent as that would be counterproductive.
All the best.
