Heavenly Hummus

Today I made Hummus for the 1st time ever and it is delish. I did it intuitively without measuring  so the measures are approximate

1 1/2 to 2 cups of garbanzos soaked overnight. Drain the soak water and rinse.
2 to 3 TBSP of Tahini
2 to 3 TBSP of Virgin Olive oil
3 to 4 garlic cloves
1/4 tsp  Cumin
Celtic Sea Salt to taste

Put in processor or blender till creamy. At first mine was a little thick so I added a coupla  Tbsp of water .

I saw different recipes that folks added all kinds of things like chives and red pepper. A little yogurt and mint and other things to make it spicy like hot peppers. I wanted to just make it basic the 1st time and it came out absolutely delicioso.

It's so good and I was eating it with some flax crackers I made in the dehydrator
and before I knew I had eaten about half this batch so I had to take it away before I ate it all ;+D

I also saw that some folks soaked the garbazos then drained them and let them  sprout for 2 to 3 days  till they had little sprout tails. I think I will try that next cause it will prolly make the garbanzos a little softer and the hummus will be creamier. Plus when you let things sprout it also makes it  more nutritious.  I also wanna try adding is  some olives and or sundried tomatos.

I was just thinking that instead of using Tahini that I would try just adding raw sesame seeds and let it make it's own Tahini as it blended. The Tahini I bought has nothing but sesame seeds listed in the ingredients.
