These darned bugs...
... seem to want to take me down in their mighty struggle for survival.
Today is Day 24 of Round 3 of Humaworm, and the past week has been quite dreadful. I've had loose bowels (sometimes very painful and feel quite urgent) for almost a week, and then all through last weekend, I had a stone in my stomach (this is the same spot that aches in my previous Humaworm rounds and liver cleanses) that got larger and larger. On Saturday and Sunday nights, I could not sleep for hours, even with a hot water bottle, and it was only after I finally got up after hours of turning and moaning in pain, and rubbing some castor oil all over my abdomen, before lying face-down on top of the hot water bottle, that I managed a few hours of sleep. Had to miss work on Monday.
The next day, the stomach pain was slightly better, but then my left side (rib-cage level but slightly angle to the back) starting giving me stabbing/shooting pains for 2 days, with each stab a few minutes apart. Awful. I've never had shingles before (but I did have chicken pox when I was small, and my mom would got shingles a couple of times), but I imagine that would be what it feels like, nerves acting up and all that. What kind of nasties live in that area? It's not near any of the meridians so it's not a "chi" thing, and there are any organs nearby either.
Earlier on in the round, I suspected I was about to break out in hives (incidentally, thanks RG for your reply!). Thank goodness that didn't happen! Now, both the stomach and back pain have gone. I just don't know whether the darned thing finally consented to die, or whether it's just too tired to fight, and has turned to hibernation until I finish this round in a week.
RG, when do tapeworms die? Does it sound like I have a huge mother tapeworm inside that has refused to die in 3 rounds of Humaworm, or do you think I have lots of smaller ones? Or could those be liver flukes instead? I mention it's the stomach area, but I think the liver and the stomach overlaps somewhat in the middle abdomen, so could it be liver flukes hiding in one end of the liver? Could that be why I had such awful times with the liver cleanses?
Looks like I still have quite a way to go, still being so toxic in round 3. :(
Cheers,
Maya
