Re: Hey silverfox! Ear Solutions?

Hello Iloveamma,

Ear bumps can be difficult to get rid of. There are times when the ear plug can re-infect the ear canal, and the process just continues. If you are using one use ear plugs and tossing them after use, that may help, but if you have a set that you use all the time you will want to disinfect them daily.

The ear solution is made by putting 10 ml of 5% sodium chlorite into a glass, adding 10 ml of 10% citric acid , swirl to mix, and let the activation continue for 10 minutes. Next add enough water to make a total of 500 ml.

Clean your ear first, then dab some of this solution on the spot. This solution can also be used to disinfect your ear plugs.

To make 5% sodium chlorite from 22.4% sodium chlorite you put 22 ml of the 22.4% sodium chlorite in a measuring cup and add enough water to make a total of 100 ml. You will end up with 100 ml of 5% sodium chlorite.

Tom
