QOS, You don't need others to give you proof of their opinions, because its a waste of time, the opinions of others are just that, opinion, or perhaps you can use the term theory in this instance. There is no proof, only what others think.

As you said, events can be made to fit a certain way of thinking. You can see this in every religion or belief system, where prophecy is used. When you take away the influence of the belief system, in this case the belief in some NWO plan, illuminati etc etc, the events can then be looked at in an open minded manner, connections between events can be seen, or not seen as the case may be.

Also, you will always find that when you disagree with the belief systems of some, they will become defensive and start to try and discredit you on a personal level. This is just human nature at work. People become attached to their beliefs, some passionately so.

I've looked at a great deal of information surrounding this theory of a NWO, and much of the associated information. At this point in time, based on what I have studied, and the energy of this information, and the authors of this information, and observation of events, I do not believe that this theory holds any truth. If more info comes to light, or the energy changes, I will reconsider.
