The writer Madison Cavanaugh is selling a book, not treating people with oxidative therapies. As a practicing oxidative therapist I know that no practitioner would make those claims in all honesty, but a writer can make use of sensational copy without being scuttled for false claims.

I hope this gives you a perspective on what I'd call the wild-eyed claims and personal optimisms of an opinion piece.
