Auto accident, and now have 2 herniated disc in neck.

I was sitting in a parking lot in my truck when another car slammed into me, I did not have my seat belt on and was throw all over the front. I was in a parked car.
I now have 2 herniated disc in my neck and one in my lower back.
I was very active, working out all the time and now my life has changed. I am in pain all the time. I will start physical therapy this coming week. How long will I be in pain, and will I ever be able to work out or run again?
They had me on Valium, I took myself off of that stuff, now on Motrin 800.
Any advice would be wonderful
