I don't mean to jump in on another moderator's answer, but I note that "shit head" did not seem to be a very "Christian" reply. Personally I don't see the need for name calling or abusive language on any forums, but the Debate forums have always been a bit rough and tumble. In addition to the admonition about the first person who resorts to attacking the messenger losing the debate, member are also warned to stay out of such forums if they don't like being exposed to attacks and acrimony.
In my private forum and the support forum I moderate, I won't tolerate attacks or foul language, but neither of those are debate forums. I do agree that those who resort to personal attacks and slurs in any forum undermine their credibility. In that regards, perhaps it is good that some leeway is allowed in the debate forums so that such actions can give the loss of credibility that is deserving of resorting to the low road instead of actually debating civilly.
Just my two cents, as this is not my forum and I too have to take the verbal sticks and stones if I dare venture here.
