Diverticulosis Diagnosis

I had a colonoscopy last week and they found divertuclae in the ascending colon near the cecum. I have had no symptoms and do not eat a lot of processed foods or ever go to fast food restaurants. The Dr recommended a high fiber diet ( I already average 25 grams/day). As I understand it, these are due to a weakening of the colon wall and high fiber reduces bowel transit time and helps strengthen the colon wall by promoting peristaltic motion. I definitely do not want diverticulitis and would like to know if high enemas (2 quarts or more) would help in preventing diverticulitis. I know colonic irrigation is supposed to help but they are expensive if taken regularly and therefor would like to use enemas.
