baby's ear and nose congestion

Hello Dr Mom, my 10 mos old is on his 2nd cold now. He seems fine except for a constant running nose and slight cough, probably from the drainage. His ears are a little congested (he had antibiotics for an ear infection about a month ago) and we saw an ENT today who wants him to take Nasonex to dry out the congestion. I don't really want to give him this. Do you have any suggestions for colds, runny noses, congestion etc. Thanks, oh and we are flying tomorrow so I'm a little nervous about the pressure too. Tweet
