Contradiction: Need to not dilute Digestive Enzymes but need to drink Water for Fiber meals. Help.
Greetings,
I'm moving full steam ahead to a much more raw diet of vegetables, fruits and grains. I still eat some cooked meals. I'm becoming acutely aware of the critical need to properly digest each meal. I'm supplementing with digestive enzymes (among other things) and I don't drink water 30-45 minutes before and after meals so that I don't dilute the digestive enzymes (natural and supplemental) needed to digest each meal.
Some meals contain significant amounts of fiber. tonight I made a pasta of organic wheat noodles. The meal was fairly high fiber.
I have a "sluggish" system and when I have fiber I NEED a lot of water to keep things moving. However, I don't want to drink water to fast with the meal that includes fiber among many other nutritious vegetables etc in the sauce etc.
This is a bit of a conundrum.
QUESTION: When I eat a meal containing a fair bit of fiber should I wait to drink much water so that I don't dilute my digestive enzymes, or, should I drink water to aide in moving the fiber along. How much water? How soon?
Many thanks,
IR~
