Surgery for stomach cancer

Hi,
My father 68 has been diagonised with stomach cancer with signet ring cell adenocarcinoma.

While the PET reports indicate that there is no spread seen anywhere, the doctors suspect that there could be spread and a radiologist suggests that it is best to not go ahead with surgery.

He has already gone through 3 rounds of chemo. I had also put him on TCM (ganoderma mega doses) and Sodium bicarbonate therapy. He has also been taking some homeo medication. The initial cough that took us to the doctors has vanished. He has very good appetite and is fine.

A recent endoscopy indicated that while there is still disease, it is much better than what it was before and the stomach wall thickening has come down.

Now, some doctors opine that if we do not have surgery, the cancer would be back and life is at risk the moment he is off chemo. If we assume that the disease is aggressive and is spread, what should we do if surgery is not an option?

I sincerly wish my father walks cancer free. How to ensure that the entire body is alkaline or determine if any other organ is affected, now that the PET is not showing anything except fdg uptake in lymphs here and there (which I hear is common..)
