Hoping you are better now. Has I have been in pain for just over three years with one impacted tooth removal and have only just had the culprit found. There is a piece of root or and this is what I think it was a piece of bone which was cracked from my jaw when the tooth was removed. One of the reasons it hasn't shown on the xrays. The piece as been slowly moving out my jaw for three years
Same with you, lack of jaw opening. Pain unbelievable pain.
My body as been fighting my jaw and when I get extra flu viruses knocked me for six. Last one I felt I was going to die. For a stroke of good help The xray was a good one this time.First time I was given it to take home also. I have had ct and mri scans. Mind you they didn't show me the results (I would of had a really good look) As in pain very eager to get to the problem.
It may be that there are pieces of bone which as been cracked around your tooth. Get hold ot your xrays and have a real good look.
Hope this helps you.
All the best!
