If he's smart he will have made a living will complete with all the plans that will be directed to an attorney to act on his behalf to negotiate with the automobile industry with the proceeds to go to whomever he chooses. Also to make this public with the exception of the lawyers name to put others in check of this threat. He would also have directed  this living will to somebody that he can trust [maybe multiple people] to see that it is carried out as he has directed. (knowing lawyers, [enter our Gov. officials]) Also a patent would help.

Not an engineer, but it looks like a winner to me.
