Re: herbal remedies

Interesting you use the Trademark designation for "Young Bones" in such an informal setting? As for "being sold" on using herbals, often that is part of the problem, i.e. people being oversold on them. Now I love herbals for treating ailments, but I like it best when they are marketed without the out-of-context hype.

Does Doctor Smith have any financial interest in Young Bones? What constitutes a "field study"? How was the percentage of pain relief measured? Asprin might do the same thing. Was a placebo used for comparison?

What research suggests Young Bones might help build bone density? By what mechanism? "Something" 'suggesting' something else 'may' have a specific action seems tenuous and vague to be basing such an important decision on.

This isn't to say that certain folks having a financial interest in a product are rendered moot by that interest, or even that studies have to conclusively demonstrate genuine advantage or the mechanism by which the advantage takes place, but there should be more than vague references to mysterious studies that may or may not actually support a given persons extrapolation and interpretation of such data.

If per slight chance you yourself have a financial interest in this company, hey, that's cool, but you really should be a bit more informative rather than just popping in, dropping a 'Doctor name', make vague mention of a study, then pop out.

I myself am in business to make money. But when I discuss my products, I willingly open up to 2-way dialog, I'm ready to answer questions and concerns, engage open and public discussion, rather than "drive-by" clandestine marketing that to be honest, seems kinda hokey. At least participate in the discussions, and if ya know something that can help folks, even if you don't stand to make a dime, pipe in anyway. 2/3's of what I post here has nothing to do with anything I sell, and even if it does, I rarely specifically push my own products, unless it's somehow relevant.

What's in this stuff?
