Urine smells like amonia but only now on Day 18. Why not sooner?

All of a sudden my urine started to smell distinctly like amonia in such a strong way that my poor sense of smell could pick it up all day. Is there any explanation as to why this is happening now on Day 18 instead of sometime sooner? I think it's a good thing - just curious as to the reason, if any. Thanks!!
