Not sure what the implications are, but bacteria never seem to enter my mind when investigating chronic conditions. There are L form bacteria that do interest me however, and these bacteria are in an area of microbiology that is still immature. They have been suspect in many disease conditions. It is hard to quantify them. If you grow them from culture, they could be confused with contaminants.
They are usually pleomorphic, so identifying them visually is not really an option. Shroom
